    I have a hard time fitting regular jump rings through the plastic canvas, any tips for that? I personally prefer the keychains over the cell phone clasps with the cord, though the clasps look easier to get into the plastic. I know 14 count is a small hole so it's hard to cram the jump ring through. Thanks!

    • @Sirithre
      @Sirithre 15 днів тому

      Not really a tip for that tbh, they are indeed small holes. You can get thinner jump rings as the join to a keychain ring, or just kinda push them through carefully to avoid ripping the hole.

    I have never heard of hardanger until today... Looks very interesting .. I don't know how I stumbled upon your channel but I ❤ your videos. I, like you would be a total beginner at this and the cutting fabric would make me feel a little nervous. I have cross stitched before, but not nearly as experience with it as most. I, like you, am wondering what it would look like on another fabric and I am curious how large the holes would be. When I visualize it in my mind I am thinking the holes would seem a lot larger on a 22, but I really have no clue. I think yours turned out fabulously! Thanks for showing me something I have never seen before. I love how unique your channel is, how unique you are. Again, thank you. You are a very talented artist.

      Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm a long time cross stitcher and I strive to teach and encourage creativity within cross stitch. But being a beginner at any craft is always scary, so I try to be transparent with what I am new at to show it's normal as well! Hardanger is something I've been meaning to try for ages. I can't visualize at all, but the holes would definitely be larger and easier to see on 22 count! Count just breaks down to 'how many holes per inch', if that helps visualize! And I bet it would make sliding your scissors in and only cutting specific strands a bit easier. And probably would've been easier to film. But sometimes jumping into that 'deep end' with a project is just what I need to get started. So 32 count it was. 😂

    As an artist who loves to hand draw pixel art digitally, I can’t wait to create my designs in real life!

    • @Sirithre
      @Sirithre 2 місяці тому

      Yesss! Pixel Art converts great to cross stitch, with a few considerations. There may be some frustration when converting to the available thread colors, but limited color palettes aren't exactly new to pixel art. ;) The other thing to look out for is colors with too few pixels or single pixels off by themselves. They can be greatly effective in pixel art, but are annoying to stitch!
